When park hopping, we generally recommend making the Magic Kingdom your second park. We recommend doing Animal Kingdom on Saturday because it usually has the shortest hours of any park and they are sometimes a bit longer on Saturdays. There are more attractions than any of the other parks, so any reduction in lines makes a bigger difference here. If you can, Magic Kingdom is best on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Best days to visit the Magic KingdomĪs with any theme park, the best days are weekdays when school is in session, but we’re assuming you are coming for a period that includes weekends. For the price, we still can't recommend it, but if money is no object, you will have a jolly good time. That said, it is an improvement on Boo Bash and it's also the only way you can see the holiday overlay at Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. The event only lasts 4 hours and can cost double the price of a regular all-day park ticket.
Until December 22, you can only see the holiday parade during the ticketed after hours event ( Very Merriest After Hours) and those tickets are EXPENSIVE. While there are shorter lines and lit up Christmas lights at night, we still enjoyed it more during the day. For this reason, you should consider this ride to be one of the longest waits in the park and plan accordingly. Due to the 50th Anniversary Celebration, a lot of the decorations we expect to see in the Magic Kingdom (especially the fairy lights on the castle) aren't coming this year.Īlso, don't forget that the Jungle Cruise has been updated with a holiday overlay – it is now the Jingle Cruise! While this might mean you want to put it higher on your list of must-dos, keep in mind that everyone else is, too.
